The project significantly improve the quality of life for patients in remote areas with limited access to specialised medical services, alongside being cost-effective & remove barriers to healthcare provision in developing countries countries, disaster zone & war zone

Access to specialised medical expertise is often limited in remote or underserved areas, requiring patients or specialists to travel long distances for diagnosis and treatment. This challenge is particularly critical in developing regions, disaster zones, and conflict areas where healthcare infrastructure and medical experts are scarce. Additionally, certain procedures such as transoesophageal echocardiography (TEE) may expose physicians to radiation risks and limit their practical usage.

The project creates an innovative remote-control capalbe system based on TEE to address the issue of transporting specialist to areas where medical facilities & experts are limited, thereby improving the ability to consult, diagnose, treat & intervene medically from a distance. This also solves the problem of limited TEE usage due to radiation by providing a TEE procedure remote controller

TEERO introduces a teleoperated medical robotic system that enables specialists to perform surgical procedures, treatments, and diagnostics remotely through wired or wireless communication networks. By allowing remote control of medical procedures, including TEE operations, the system expands access to specialised healthcare while reducing risks to physicians and overcoming geographical barriers to medical services.
