IPBro stands out from other solutions on the market by producing stable, soluble, and active recombinant bromelain in a cost-effective and efficient manner. Its innovative production technologies, combined with chitosan encapsulation, enhance the enzyme’s yield, activity, and stability, making IPBro a highly promising product for commercialisation.

Producing native bromelain in Malaysia is costly and time-consuming, and maintaining its stability during storage, transportation, and oral delivery remains challenging. With growing demand for bromelain, there is a pressing need for a stable, soluble, and efficient recombinant bromelain production technology.

IPBro provides a stable, soluble, and active recombinant bromelain produced using Escherichia coli host cells. This technology addresses the challenges of native bromelain production by offering higher yield and activity, as well as improved stability during storage, transportation, and oral delivery. IPBro’s efficient production process meets the growing demand for bromelain and has strong commercial potential across multiple industries.

IPBro utilises a synthetically optimised gene to enhance the expression efficiency and activity of recombinant bromelain. The gene is delivered via a plasmid or viral vector containing a solubility enhancer, which improves the solubility of the enzyme, resulting in higher yield and activity. The purified recombinant bromelain is then encapsulated with chitosan, an edible and safe material, to enhance stability during storage, transportation, and oral delivery.
