Delivers a triple impact (environmental, economic, social) with zero-waste principles, reduced operational costs, and secondary income streams via eco-tourism and research.

Coastal communities face difficulties in maintaining sustainable fishing practices, particularly during rainy seasons, while existing fish cage designs and systems may not adequately address operational and environmental challenges. There is a need for innovative and resilient aquaculture solutions to improve food security, strengthen livelihoods and create greater economic opportunities for coastal communities.

A modular and scalable Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) system that integrates fish, seaweed and shellfish to create a low-waste, sustainable farming ecosystem. The transferable and customisable platform reduces waste and operating costs, supports resilience during monsoon seasons, and provides opportunities for food production, community livelihoods, tourism, research and education.

The system pioneers a circular "zero-waste" aquatic ecosystem design combined with structural mobility. The platform is fully dockable and transferable to sheltered waters during monsoon periods. The cockle-shell artificial reefs act simultaneously as biological filtration units and structural anchors, eliminating the need for commercial external feed for low-trophic species.
