Malaysia gears up for NICE 2025

Malaysia’s biggest innovation showcase is back! The National Innovation and Commercialisation Expo (NICE) 2025 returns from Oct 6 to 9 at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur.

Organised by the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry (MOSTI), through its implementing agency the Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation (Mranti), the four-day event brings together the country’s brightest minds and boldest ideas to showcase and scale homegrown innovations with global impact.

With a diverse lineup of innovation showcases, dialogues, keynote talks, business matching sessions, podcasts, and interactive activities, the event covers cutting-edge developments across key sectors — from palm oil, biotechnology, and aerospace to nuclear science, and beyond.

It’s a golden opportunity to connect with researchers, entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, venture capitalists, policymakers, and youth through innovation showcases, policy dialogues, business matching sessions, and recognition of outstanding innovators.

NICE 2025 also marks the strategic consolidation of four flagship MOSTI programmes:

By unifying these platforms, the event — to be officiated by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof — reinforces the government’s commitment to positioning Malaysia as a regional hub for science, technology, innovation, and the economy.

Building on the success of past MCY Summits — which since 2016 have enabled the commercialisation of 622 innovations, generating over RM849mil in revenue — NICE 2025 is expected to draw over 12,000 participants and 150 exhibitors, exceeding last year’s turnout of 8,000 and RM61.46mil in business value.
