KUALA LUMPUR (May 24): Simplify, a wireless connectivity solutions provider and an alumnus of Technology Innovation Park Malaysia (TIPM), was named one of the 100 best innovative technologies for international cooperation at the prestigious Zhongguancun (ZGC) Forum in Beijing.

Simplify, part of Mranti’s Global Market-Fit Programme (GMP), is a dynamic platform designed to equip innovative spin-offs and companies with effective commercialisation strategies.

In a statement on Friday, Simplify chief executive officer Tay Yen Pei said the success at the 2024 Zhongguancun Forum is a testament to Simplify’s commitment to disruptive technology, as well as showcasing the potential of Malaysian tech companies in the global technology arena.

“Simplify was recognised for its pioneering wireless technology, out of a total of 3018 projects solicited across 40 countries.

“The technology is geared to revolutionise the way internet users connect to broadband sharing platforms, underscoring its significant global impact and innovation,” he said.

The list of 100 best innovative technologies for international cooperation focuses on ten major areas, namely next-generation information technology, biotechnology and life sciences, innovative pharmaceuticals and healthcare, innovative medical devices, intelligent terminals and high-end equipment, intelligent manufacturing and high-end manufacturing, new energy and applications, new materials and applications, carbon neutrality and green innovation, and modern agriculture.

Meanwhile, Mranti said GMP is a comprehensive platform for innovative spin-offs and companies to learn effective commercialisation strategies and gain international market access.

The agency said this programme assists companies in commercialising Malaysian products by leveraging industry-advised market-fit strategies, thereby expanding their reach to global markets.

TIPM (Mranti) chief executive officer Datuk Wira Dr Rais Hussin Mohamed Ariff said through the GMP programme, the agency has provided market access to 90 companies, with 20 of these companies having achieved significant success from 2021 up to April 2024.

“I am also proud to share that under GMP Thailand, Simplify has partnered with one of the largest telcos in Thailand, True Internet Corporation Co Ltd.

“Together, Simplify’s pioneering wireless technology is poised for greater impact and expansion into global reach,” he said.
