Molluscure is the first solution globally for the removal of heavy metals from bivalve mollusks using a chelating immersion approach. It is more effective, safe, and sustainable compared to conventional washing techniques, which often fail to meet food safety benchmarks.

Seafood, especially shellfish, often contains toxic metals and active compounds that pose serious health risks to consumers. Current removal methods are not fully effective, environmentally friendly, or economically viable for large-scale use.

The system incorporates a proprietary chelating agent into an immersion-based cleaning process. It uses specific catalytic compounds and a chemical profile similar to potable water to effectively bind and remove harmful metals from seafood.

The Molluscure-Metals Removal System is a patented technology by UTM that removes toxic and heavy metals from shellfish like mussels, cockles, and oysters. It uses a special cleaning solution with a chelating agent in an immersion process to safely pull out harmful metals. The system is safe, eco-friendly, meets Malaysian and EU food safety standards, and is suitable for large-scale seafood cleaning.
