This is an exclusive Malaysian concept that currently has no equivalent in local or regional markets. It uses a remote, non-invasive method that reduces both risk and cost compared to traditional manual measurements. The system also has the potential to integrate with global satellite data providers, offering greater flexibility and scalability for offshore assets of different designs and locations.

Offshore platforms require constant monitoring to ensure structural safety and operational efficiency. Traditional air gap assessment methods are costly, time-consuming, and logistically challenging, especially in remote or high-risk areas. There is a pressing need for a non-intrusive, scalable, and accurate monitoring approach.

By integrating satellite remote sensing and geospatial intelligence, this concept provides accurate, continuous air gap measurements over time. It enables offshore operators to monitor platform conditions remotely, without the need for physical inspections, thus improving safety and reducing downtime.

This innovation uses satellite data and geospatial intelligence to measure the air gap, the distance between the sea surface and the bottom deck of an offshore platform. It offers a safe, accurate, and non-intrusive way to monitor platform conditions over time, without needing on-site inspections. Compared to traditional methods, this approach is faster, more cost-effective, and easier to use in remote or risky areas. It helps support key offshore activities like installation, decommissioning, and safety checks, while reducing risks, costs, and downtime.
