Present invention relates to hollow fiber membrane with dual shell layer which can be changed modularly without having to replace overall system essentially allowing the fiber to be assembled in a separate cartridge which can be disassembled from main housing without changing the main body.
The present invention introduces a hollow fiber membrane with a dual-shell layer that allows for modular changes without replacing the entire system. This innovation permits the assembly of the fiber in a separate cartridge, enabling disassembly from the main housing without altering the core system. How can we further develop and optimize the modular hollow fiber membrane system to enhance its versatility, ease of maintenance, and applicability across various industries and applications?
Novelty of the present invention lies in the design of the hollow fiber membrane with exchangeable membrane element where bundles of hollow fibers are collected together and potted against using two-part epoxy at both ends and installed into an outer shell wherein the hollow fiber membrane can be changed by disassembling from the main housing and assembled back for continue use without the need to change the entire main body or housing.
• Membrane can be separated by disassembling the cartridge and do not need to change the main body• Allows modular change - saves cost
The global market for nanofiltration membranes is expected to double its value, from 518 million U.S. dollars projected in 2019, to approximately 1.2 billion U.S. dollars by 2024. During this period of time, the compound annual growth rate of this market is expected to stand at 18.2 percent.
