The UMS Eco-Solar Dryer is a low-cost, hygienic drying solution for agricultural and marine products that utilizes solar heating. The technology has a fast, constant drying temperature and updraft and downdraft air movement. It offers drying capacity of 500kg, which can be used for industrial drying.
There is a need for a more efficient, hygienic, and cost-effective solution for drying agricultural and marine products due to the poor-quality products resulting from open sun drying, which is dependent on weather conditions and can be time-consuming.
1) Solar heat collector
A device that absorbs solar radiation to heat a fluid, typically air or water, which can then be used to provide heat or energy for various applications, such as drying food products. The UMS Eco-Solar House prototype is equipped with a solar heat collector that uses solar radiation to heat the air that circulates through the drying chambers.
2) Ventilator with thermo siphon effect
The UMS Eco-Solar House uses a ventilator that circulates drying air through the drying chambers in an updraft air movement direction, ensuring hygienic drying conditions. The thermo siphon effect is used to circulate air without the need for additional energy input.
3) Chaotic air flow drying system
The UMS Eco-Solar House prototype uses specially designed baffles to create a chaotic air flow pattern that ensures uniform temperature distribution in the drying chambers, enabling easy control of drying conditions.
The UMS Eco-Solar House provides a costeffective solution for drying food products, with uniform temperaturedistribution and controlled drying conditions using renewable energy. Its capacity of 500kg makes it suitable for industrial drying.
