MiPO, a micro-hydro power turbine system, addresses the need for reliable and green electricity generation in remote areas. With the ability to produce up to 15 watts from tidal, stream, and river applications, MiPO offers a 135% greater fluid velocity improvement. It benefits Malaysia's indigenous population by providing off-grid solutions, particularly in remote regions with limited access to basic necessities. Unlike existing systems requiring site expansion or specialized machinery, MiPO is easily installed, low maintenance, and cost-effective. Developed through collaboration between Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), ACTS Smart Solutions Sdn Bhd, and the Malaysian National Water Research Institute (NAHRIM), MiPO stands out as a reliable and accessible micro-hydro power product.
