Sultan Nazrin confers state awards on 213 individuals today

KUALA KANGSAR: The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, on Saturday (Nov 18) conferred state awards and medals on 213 recipients in the second investiture session, in conjunction with his 67th birthday celebration, at the Istana Iskandariah.

Also in attendance was the Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim.

Raja Muda of Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa and Raja Di Hilir of Perak Raja Iskandar Dzulkarnain Sultan Idris Shah were also in attendance.

Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, was also present.

Today's award recipients are part of 238 individuals who are being conferred with state honours and medals, in conjunction with Sultan Nazrin Shah’s birthday celebration on Nov 3.

Eighteen individuals received the Darjah Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (PCM); the Darjah Paduka Mahkota Perak (PMP) (32 recipients); Darjah Ahli Cura Si Manja Kini (ACM) (20); Darjah Ahli Mahkota Perak (AMP) (42); Pingat Pekerti Terpilih (PPT) (59); Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) (31) and Pingat Lama Perkhidmatan (PLP) to 11 recipients.

Heading the list of recipients is the director-general of the Health Division, Army headquarters, Brigadier General Dr Mohd Arshil Moideen, who received the PCM award.

Also receiving the PCM award were Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation (MRANTI) chairman Prof Dr Rofina Yasmin Othman; Ipoh district police chief ACP Yahaya Hassan and former chief executive officer of the Malaysian National News Agency Roslan Ariffin.

Universiti Teknologi Mara Perak Rector, Associate Professor Dr Nur Hisham Ibrahim and Taiping district police chief ACP Razlam Ab Hamid are among the PMP recipients, while Kerian district police chief Superintendent Juna Yussof is among the recipients of the ACM award.

Meanwhile, the Perak-born national athlete, Muhammad Shafiq Puteh, who won the bronze medal at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, was conferred the PJK.

National Muay Thai athlete Mohd Rifdean Masdor, received the PJK, while national Muay Thai coach Bernad Raden, was awarded the AMP. - Bernama
