Psycho-B great E-Learning Module

Education

There has been a drop in students choosing Science, Technology and Mathematics subjects in Malaysia. Data from the Malaysian Examination Board 2020 showed a downtrend of students choosing Biology subject compared to other Science subjects. The recent pandemic has also seen quick changes to home based learning which brings about challenges such as limited resource, interaction and difficulty to access learning materials.

Rapid Propagation of Novel Fiq Plant Stocks via Tissue Culture Technology for Production of Standardised and Consistent Quality Fruit

Agriculture and Forestry

Current conventional methods such as grafting, cuttings and air layering for the propagation of plant stocks are inefficient yielding low rates of success and survival due to poor rooting. Plant stocks propagated via conventional methods are slow growing and can often go into dormancy resulting in low fruiting capacity. Farmers grow a variety of cultivars in the farm with different cultivation practices that are not standardized, indirectly causing a variety of fig types being harvested. This is not favorable to the commercial market as standardization of fruit type, size, taste and quality is important.

Raw Water Pipeline Network Inspection

Smart Technology and System
Advanced Intelligent Systems

The product targets water supply companies and contractors struggling with pipeline maintenance to prevent bursts from internal corrosion and optimize sedimentation for maximum capacity supply.

Real-Time Non-Surfactant Emulsion Fuel Supply System (RTES)

Environment & Biodiversity
Advanced Materials

RTES offers a cost-effective fuel solution for transportation and power generation needs. Using a unique agitation method, it produces additive-free emulsion fuel in real-time, tailored to engine or burner demand. Benefits include notable reductions in fuel consumption, NOx emissions, and smoke emissions.

Real-Time Wireless Structural Dynamic Monitoring System (REDiM)

Smart Technology and System
Advanced Intelligent Systems

REDiM addresses the need for weather-independent and low-maintenance monitoring systems, crucial for continuous surveillance of offshore platforms. Its compact design and additional alarm features ensure safety standards are met, validated by Petronas and Repsol.

Residual Oil Extractor

Agriculture & Forestry

The Residual Oi Extractor (ROE) is an innovative technology designed to recover residual oil in the palm oil effluent (POME). The ROE uses perforated oil-adsorbing fibre sheets arranged in an inclined manner, a mechanical compressor, and an air scrubbing system to enhance oil adsorption and reduce COD of POME by up to 15%. This technilogy has a performance efficiency of 20% and has the potential to provide significant benefits to the palm oil industry.
