CellinAir Cultivation System: Sustainable Microalgae Production
Agriculture & Forestry
Bioscience Technology
The CellinAir Cultivation System is an innovative approach designed to enhance the sustainability of microalgae production. This system allows microalgae to grow at the air-liquid interface, significantly reducing energy and water consumption while facilitating easy harvesting. It supports applications in biodiesel production, pharmaceuticals, wastewater treatment, and more.
Clean Agriculture Technology
Agriculture & Forestry
Advanced Intelligent Systems
Clean Agriculture Technology (CAT™) is an innovative agricultural system designed to enhance yield and quality of crops while maintaining soil health and environmental harmony. This adaptable, pesticide-free technology targets government agencies, farmers, and the fertilizer industry to address low farming yield, high costs, and soil degradation, ultimately contributing to Malaysia's agricultural performance and food security.
Coolit-Gel: Non-woody Biomass Cellulose Hydrogels for Pharmaceutical and Cosmeceutical Application
Medical and Healthcare
Bioscience Technology
Coolit-gel® is a cellulose hydrogel developed from local non-woody biomasses including oil palm empty fruit bunch and kapok seed pod fibres. This hydrogel is unique not only due to the use of sustainable materials in the production but also because of the desired mechanical and swelling properties which are very desirable for biomedical applications. This technology is proven biodegrable, safe and non-irritating in vivo. In addition, this hydrogel platform can be valorised for other applications including agricultures as fertilisers and absorbents.
Cornlet Flour
Water & Food
Bioscience Technology
According to World Health Organization (WHO) in 2017, 4 million of deaths are estimated to happen caused by the inadequate consumption of fruits and vegetable. It is recommended by WHO for 20-35 gram of fiber intake per day however based on study by MOH, only 6 out of 100 Malaysian adults consumed enough dietary fiber (DF). Nevertheless, the usual intake for DF among populations is only 16g/day. Sufficient DF consumed would prevent an individual from many diseases such as diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular disease.
Cray-X
Cray-X is a soybean-based prototype feed formulated using chicken eggs as a natural source of calcium to meet the nutritional requirements of red claw crayfish. The uniqueness of this formulation lies in its ability to utilize by-products, reducing feed costs significantly. Cray-X has been tested on farmed red claw crayfish with significant growth performance compared to the control diet. The technology presents a high potential for commercialization in crayfish farms, feed producers, and other crustacean farms.
Cryogenic Cutting
Environment & Biodiversity
Advanced Materials
The cryogenic cutting system enhances underwater structural cutting by using extremely low temperatures to freeze materials, making them brittle and easier to cut. This method increases cutting efficiency, reduces energy consumption, and minimizes tool wear, offering a cost-effective and precise alternative to traditional cutting methods.
